EMT

The one-year EMT program at Cass Career Center equips students with essential emergency care skills and basic life support techniques. The curriculum covers the detection of signs and symptoms as well as field management procedures for various emergency medical situations. Students will also receive training for certification in the National Incident Management System (NIMS 100, 200, & 700). Clinical observations with local ambulance services are conducted outside of class hours, requiring students to provide their own transportation. A class uniform is mandatory. The course is both physically and academically demanding, including active physical training. Upon successful course completion, students will be eligible to take the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technician practical and written examinations.
