Criminal Justice/Crime Scene Investigation

The two-year Criminal Justice/Crime Scene Investigation program at Cass Career Center immerses students in the American criminal justice system, emphasizing law enforcement and crime scene investigation.
Students will explore U.S. constitutional law and the Missouri criminal code, covering topics such as professional ethics, evidence procedures, crime scene and accident investigation, and the use of modern law enforcement equipment. With a strong connection to industry practices, students will engage with real-world scenarios, requiring maturity and professionalism. A class uniform is required, and the course demands both physical fitness and academic knowledge, with active physical training as part of the curriculum.
 

Eligibility Requirements

Grades: 11-12; interview with the instructor prior to enrollment in the class; minimum 2.5 GPA and 90% attendance record at home high school recommended                                                                                                

Credit

3.0 per academic year in CJ/CSI; 0.5 per academic year in Integrated English*; and 0.5 per academic year in Integrated Math*
*English and math content is integrated within the CJ/CSI program, and content is specific to advanced communication and calculations skills necessary in this industry.
