Loan Repayment
After Graduating or Leaving School
Once students leave school, whether by graduating or by withdrawal/dismissal, they should:
- Complete Exit Counseling
Select Undergraduate Student and login with your FSA ID - Review the Loan Repayment Checklist
Repayment Options
Please review the following information when your loans go into repayment:
- When a student must begin making payments
- What repayment plans are available
- The grace period
- Use the Repayment Estimator to project what your payments would be under various plans
- Lower your interest rate by making electronic payments
- If you're struggling financially, avoid going into default by checking to see if you're eligible for a deferment or forbearance
Loan Forgiveness
Review the multiple loan forgiveness programs that are available for students that meet certain criteria:
- Student Loan Debt Relief
- Public Service Loan Forgiveness
- Total and Permanent Disability Discharge
- Health Professional Nursing Student Loan Forgiveness
