CNA Training

Program Description

This program prepares students to perform basic nursing skills for individuals in long-term care facilities, adult daycare centers, hospitals or homes. The course consists of 75 hours of classroom instruction & 100 hours of on the-job training in a long-term care facility. This class follows a hybrid model, combining online learning with weekly in-person classes. Students will meet in person one night a week for hands-on instruction and guidance. The rest of the coursework is completed online.

Student Eligibility

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Provide a copy of a signed/valid Social Security card or Work Permit at time of registration
  • Provide a copy of  negative TB PPD skin tests or negative TB blood test or  negative chest x-ray that is less than 6 months old on the first day of class
  • May need to provide COVID-19 vaccination or exemption letter. 
  • Be free of ALL felony crimes against persons on your criminal background check
  • Student must be registered with the Family Care Safety Registry (FCSR) https://health.mo.gov/safety/fcsr

Schedule & Requirements

  • Format: Hybrid – Half of the class takes place in person, and the other half is completed online.

  • Technology Requirement: Reliable computer and internet access are required for online portions of the course.

  • In-Person Requirement: Attendance at all scheduled in-person sessions is mandatory.

  • Clinical Hours: All 100 clinical hours must be completed in person.
